Hygiene
  • Wash hands regularly
  • Wear protective clothing
  • Wear gloves when handling dirty laundry
  • Never sort laundry on the floor
  • Do not bring dirty laundry into contact with clean
Equipment
  • Do not underload or overload machines
  • Keep machines clean
  • Do not store anything on top of machines
  • Use good quality and corrrect amount of detergent
  • Clean dryer lint filters regularly
Good Practice
  • Soiled laundry and clean laundry to be separated to prevent cross-contamination
  • Always observe control of substances hazardous to health (COSHH) regulations
  • Do not store laundry for long periods
  • Store in suitable places
  • Always leave washing machine door slightly ajar after wash
